ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Castro Valley, California.

\nRN - ICU Neuro
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required with minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU experience
\n• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
\n• Every other weekend requirement (EOW)
\n• 4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday X2)
\n• May float to ED, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Travel experience required
\n• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIH, TNCC preferred
\n• All certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal
\n• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
\n• Care for adults and geriatrics with daily census of 18-22 patients
\n• Manage patients requiring detailed neuro checks including post thrombectomy and TNK patients
\n• Work with post procedural/surgical trauma patients
\n• Experience with specialized equipment including EVD management, ICP monitoring, and massive blood transfusion protocols
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I preferred
\n• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

\nThis healthcare facility features a 24-bed ICU split between two wings that specializes in Level II Trauma ICU and Neuro/Stroke ICU services. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The ICU team operates in a fast-paced environment with quick patient turnover and excellent team collaboration, focusing on post-surgical trauma patients and complex neurological cases requiring intensive monitoring and care.
