The Accounting Administrator (AA) I (Specialist) designs and delivers training for FI$Cal system users. This role provides expert guidance on accounting modules, leads training sessions, and ensures users understand system processes. The AA I (Specialist) works with departments and IT teams to develop materials, document processes, and improve training methods to support system updates and organizational goals.

At FI$Cal, we currently offer a remote-centered position with the flexibility of telework up to three days per week. In-office attendance is mandatory on designated days and is subject to change. Our office is located at 2000 Evergreen Street, Sacramento, CA. Candidates residing outside of California are welcome to interview, but proof of California residency is required before appointment. Please note, relocation and commute expenses are the responsibility of the employee.
This position requires prolonged sitting in an office-setting environment with the use of a personal computer. In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately both verbally and in writing.
Experience with the FI$Cal system.
State or governmental accounting experience.
Experience delivering training content, facilitating meetings or presenting information to a large group.
Experience serving as primary point of contact for customers/clients.
Experience developing, reviewing, revising, maintaining, and updating various types of documentation/learning materials (e.g., job/desk aids, manuals, presentations,
learning content, etc.).
Experience with Asset Management or Lease Administration.
