Software Engineer

Job Type: 100% Onsite, W2, 3-year Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Thousand Oaks, CA. This role is 100% onsite and involves working both in the lab and office environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, excellent communication and people skills, and a strong background in Microsoft Dot Net Development, particularly with C# (C-sharp).

Responsibilities:

• Develop software to control 3rd party and in-house novel lab automation devices.
• Automate data integration between lab automation and LIMS systems (e.g., Benchling) in close partnership with our infrastructure ecosystem team.
• Manage DevOps infrastructure, including GitLab, Team City, and AWS.
• Build lab-scale solutions to help scientists accelerate their research.
• Rapidly transition from one project to the next in a fast-paced environment.

Working Environment:

• 50% lab-based and 50% office-based.
• Work with lab instruments onsite; no remote work available.
• Support core business hours (9 AM - 5 PM PT).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in the industry.
• Experience in Microsoft Dot Net Development, preferred language C# (C-sharp).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Team City, and AWS.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with scientists.

Preferred Characteristics:

• Proven experience in automation.
• Ability to hit the ground running with the required skills and experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
