Mantell Associates is currently partnered with an exciting Biotech on their search for a Senior Scientist, Genomics to join their growing team in the East Coast.

Senior Scientist, Genomics - Responsibilities:

• Lead, design and develop custom DNA-based applications and tests, focusing on NGS targeted products.
• Plan and Analyse experiments to enhance the current and future portfolio of NGS products.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to optimise production workflows for NGS kits.
• Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians for data analysis and coordinate with internal teams (Product, Quality, Manufacturing).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ISO 13485 guidelines.

Requirements:

• PhD in Molecular Biology, biochemistry, chemical/biochemical engineering or related disciplines
• Extensive expertise in NGS methods, products, and applications.
• Practical experience in large-scale genomic techniques, including whole genome sequencing, target enrichment, RNA sequencing, and single-cell sequencing.
• A high degree of proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including DNA purification, DNA quantification, and PCR.
• Leads the creation of technical and supporting documents for both internal and external use.
• Must be articulate around the science and problem solving
• Coding skills in R, Python or equivalent languages.
