Remedy is thrilled to be working with a Brockport manufacturing company with an urgent need for a Maintenance Associate.

This position provides support to all facility departments, assists in dismantling, designing layouts, moving, changing, erecting and/or repairing repack machinery and equipment.

Job Title: Repack Maintenance Associate (Direct Hire)
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent / Direct Hire
Location: Rochester, NY
Pay: $20-22/hour ***DOE

Essential job duties for this role will include:

• Capable of making repairs with or without direct supervision.
• Always work in a safe manner.
• Maintains good housekeeping at all times.
• Always use protective guards and equipment provided.
• Must obey all warning tags/signs when working on equipment.
• Expected to have basic hand tools and tools required to do most line repairs.
• Lubricates machinery.
• Make some electrical repairs with or without direct supervision.
• Must be proficient at helping machine operators adjust their respective equipment.
• Expected to be proficient at effectively performing line change-overs to different label sizes and product sizes.
• Demonstrates satisfactory proficiency when using a cutting torch.
• Demonstrates satisfactory proficiency in arc and gas welding.
• Help to produce the highest quality of finished product
• Adhere to all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety

• Report any food safety, health & safety, quality concerns to your immediate supervisor, (MANDATORY)

***Must be available to work Four (4) – 10 hr. shifts per week, plus mandatory weekend work.

• Expected to have basic knowledge of reading /understanding blueprints that pertain to the operation.
• Expected to work without constant supervision
• Dependable

We’re looking for a Repack Maintenance Associate with the following background profile/skillset:

Qualifications:

• One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment with increased skills
• Must work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in written form.
• Possesses excellent organizational skills.
• Possess the ability to read the daily work schedules and complete all necessary documentation associated with the position.
• Experience with Microsoft office / Google documents, sheets etc.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
