Mail Clerk
Spokane, WA 99202
2 months (temp to perm)
M-F (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Mailroom and/or copy center experience preferred. Job duties require physical agility and stamina. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Strong reading and clerical skills are essential. Able to readily learn complex processes. Proficient with Windows-based PC use and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent attendance. Able to occasionally lift up to 50lb boxes (with assistance available for heavier boxes).There will be considerable time spent walking & standing. Use of mail cart, postage meter, computer and a small scale for weighing packages.

o Sorting of inbound USPS and inter-office mail and packages for a publicly held company.
o Daily hand collating printed materials and hand stuffing the printed pieces into envelopes.
o Interacting with internal "customers" and department representatives for mailing and shipping requests.
o Occasional cash handling for personal customer mailings/shipments.
o Distribution of mail/packages to various locations on a corporate campus using a mail cart.
o Operating a postage meter to apply postage to outbound mail.
o Utilize FedEx Ship Manager software for shipping requests.
o Staging of inter-office mail and packages for courier pick up to other company locations.
o Windows-based computer use for verifying mail recipients in corporate directory.
o Computer use for email correspondence (Outlook), and some required training courses.
o Considerable time spent walking & standing.
o Other duties assigned as needed.
