Job Title: 3D Packaging Designer – Beauty

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented 3D Packaging Designer with a passion for beauty and innovation. This role is ideal for someone who blends creative vision with technical expertise to bring premium packaging concepts to life. You will play a critical part in shaping the visual identity of our beauty products through compelling, functional, and production-ready packaging designs.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, product development, and production teams to develop packaging that aligns with brand strategy while meeting regulatory and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities:

Design & Concept Development:

• Create both 2D and 3D packaging designs for primary and secondary packaging.
• Build 3D mockups utilizing Rhino, Solidworks, or similar 3D program
• Develop concept boards and moodboards to present creative ideas that align with brand and product direction.
• Prepare mechanical files with accurate dielines and layouts, ensuring artwork is print-ready and follows regulatory and brand standards.
• Ensure all designs are consistent, high-quality, and error-free.

Technical Execution:

• Understand and apply materials, printing processes, and decoration treatments including foil, embossing, Pantones, and specialty finishes.
• Package and deliver files to vendors and manufacturing teams.
• Utilize software such as TAG and ESKO for artwork uploading, approvals, and version tracking.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product development, and operations to understand packaging goals and timelines.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure proper execution and production feasibility.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Innovation & Trend Awareness:

• Stay current on packaging trends, sustainability practices, and competitive landscape within the beauty industry.
• Conduct research and recommend innovative solutions that enhance visual appeal and user experience.
• Translate brand stories and creative briefs into packaging that connects with consumers and stands out in the market.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in packaging design, preferably within the beauty, cosmetics, or luxury goods industries.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in 3D and 2D packaging design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dimension).
• Skilled in 3D software such as Rhino, SolidWorks, Cinema 4D, or KeyShot.
• Experience with ESKO and TAG systems for artwork management is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of packaging production processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to anticipate challenges and solve problems proactively.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
