About the Role

As a CT Technologist , you will play a vital role in patient care by utilizing advanced imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to grow in the field of radiology, with a focus on:

• Performing CT scans to capture detailed images of internal organs, bones, and soft tissues.
• Working closely with patients and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Conduct CT scan procedures in accordance with departmental policies and radiological standards.
• Verify patient information and ensure accurate imaging protocols are followed.
• Provide clear instructions to patients to ensure their comfort and understanding.
• Administer IV contrast as needed and maintain safety protocols for both patients and staff.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for CT Tech Trainee:

• Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
• Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT).
• Currently pursuing CT Certification (ARRT) or (NMTCB).
• Eligible for Radiologic Technologist state license.

Minimum Qualifications for CT Tech I or Above:

• Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
• Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT).
• CT Certification (ARRT) or (NMTCB).
• Eligible for Radiologic Technologist state license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare settings.
• Prior X-Ray experience.
• Experience as a CT Technologist.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, occasional sitting, and the ability to lift 30-35 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
• Good hearing and visual acuity to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
• Willingness to work in environments with potential exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures.
• Understanding of radiation safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
