JOB SUMMARY : Welds and grinds steel and light gauge sheet metal materials including low carbon steel, stainless steel, zinc-coated carbon steel and other commonly used alloy steels.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• Proficient Tig and Mig welding
• Welds and assemble using blueprints
• Moves or assists in moving mechanical assemblies.
• Modifies and/or makes minor assemblies.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

High School Diploma or GED or combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Prior experience in welding and assembly is required.

**KNOWLEDGE:**

• Ability to read blueprints
• Mathematics-Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry
• Knowledge of machines and tools used in metal fabrication such as cut-off wheels, grinders, saws and cranes.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**

No travel is required.

Salary info:

$24 - $26 / hr
