Bell Wine Cellars is dedicated to crafting exceptional wines and delivering an unparalleled hospitality experience. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, we are passionate about sharing our story, our wines, and our philosophy with every guest who walks through our doors. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, hospitality-driven Weekend Ambassador to join our tasting room team on a part-time, on-call basis.

Position Summary
The Weekend Ambassador plays a key role in providing an exceptional guest experience. Reporting to the Tasting Room Manager, this position is responsible for hosting tastings, retail and wine club sales, and supporting hospitality and outreach efforts. Ideal candidates will be passionate about wine, customer-focused, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Tasting Room Hospitality

Greet and host guests, lead tastings and winery tours with professionalism and warmth

Share Bell’s wines and story, ensuring a memorable guest experience

Prepare Reserve Room experiences, maintain tasting areas, and assist with setup/cleanup

Manage daily sales transactions, POS entries, and balance end-of-day reports

Ship orders and manage inventory restocking and cycle counts

Keep tasting room collateral and displays updated and organized

Write thank-you notes to select guests to encourage long-term engagement

Business Development & Outreach

Support growth of tasting room traffic through referrals and partnerships

Assist in building relationships with tour operators and local concierge partners

Help promote and support our Ambassador Program

Wine Club & Sales Support

Promote and sell wine club memberships to tasting room guests

Assist with wine club database and occasional outreach to existing members

Provide friendly, knowledgeable support for both in-person and online sales

Special Events & Flex Support

Participate in winery events, off-site tastings, and club gatherings as needed

Help the management team with special projects and hospitality experiences

Qualifications

Previous experience in premium winery retail or hospitality preferred

Energetic, warm, and confident with excellent communication skills

Knowledge of wine, Napa Valley, and fine hospitality practices

Comfortable using POS systems (Microworks or Commerce7 preferred) and Microsoft Office

Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs

Compensation

Hourly wage is DOE (Dependent on Experience) and negotiable
