The Judge Group is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland.

Shift: Nights, 3×12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) 

Scheduling: Self-scheduling 

Float Requirement: Yes – to Pediatrics, PICU, and Full-Term Nursery

• Certifications Required: BLS, NRP
• Preferred: STABLE certification
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
• Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemption accepted)
• Observed Holidays (with work expectations):
  • New Year’s Day
  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Clinical Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years NICU experience
  • Prior charge experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
• Patient Ratios:
  • Days/Nights/Weekends: 1:2 (dependent on acuity)
  • 6 weekend shifts required over 6 weeks

Common Diagnoses

• Extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants
• Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)
• Surgical neonates
• Premature infants

Clinical Skills

Vascular Access & Therapy:

• IV therapy, blood product administration
• Central/UAC/UVC line care
• Neonatal dosage calculations

Respiratory Management:

• Ventilator modes (AC/PC/SIMV/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Bubble CPAP, HFNC, Vapotherm
• Endotracheal suctioning, chest tube management
• High frequency ventilation, nitric oxide (preferred)

Neuro & GI:

• NAS, seizures, lumbar puncture assist
• Gavage, breastfeeding support, colostomy/ileostomy care
• Necrotizing enterocolitis, post-abdominal surgery

Endocrine/Metabolic:

• Glucose monitoring, insulin, hyperbilirubinemia
• Phototherapy

Emergency Medications:

• Vasopressors, steroids, surfactants, anti-seizure agents

Professional Competencies:

• Patient/family education, thermoregulation, developmental care
• Isolation precautions, neonatal sepsis protocols
• Dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring
