Job Description Primary Function of Position As the Senior Director - Tax Operations, you will lead and oversee all aspects of Intuitive Surgical’ s tax compliance and tax provision processes, including foreign income tax and transfer pricing. Reporting to the Vice President of Tax & Trade, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations and US GAAP reporting requirements and supporting the company’s financial objectives. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional management skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Essential Job Duties Roles and Responsibilities Tax Compliance Oversight: Manage and oversee the process and co-sourcing relationship with outside providers in relation to the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and international tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Tax Provision Leadership: Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including coordination with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Transfer Pricing Operations: Oversee global transfer pricing execution, documentation, and intercompany transactions, ensuring alignment with OECD guidelines and local country requirements (e.g., country-by-country reporting). Strategic Planning: Partner with tax planning to identify opportunities to optimize the company’s global tax position (e.g. FTC limitation, tested losses). Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing tax operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Process Optimization: Drive efficiencies in tax operations through technology, automation, and best practices, enhancing accuracy and scalability. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, treasury, and accounting, as well as external advisors, to support company-wide objectives. #J-18808-Ljbffr Intuitive
