Senior Accessibility Tester Description

We are looking for a Senior Accessibility Tester to join a globally distributed team within one of the largest accounts at EPAM. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accessibility testing and a deep commitment to promoting digital inclusiveness. Responsibilities

• Conduct accessibility testing on assigned products and report all defects related to WCAG violations
• Set and enforce testing standards to achieve high proficiency and exceed productivity and quality benchmarks
• Demonstrate advanced understanding of accessibility testing techniques
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to drive strategic testing initiatives
• Coordinate with the Testing Lead and other senior testers to ensure efficient and accurate completion of testing projects
• Develop, enhance, and maintain comprehensive testing process documentation
• Propose advanced process improvement strategies and lead the evaluation and implementation of new testing tools and applications
• Champion and ensure strict adherence to the client’s accessibility standards and policies
• Stay updated on evolving accessibility standards and industry trends
• Guide continual skill development and foster expertise within the accessibility testing team

Requirements

• MA/MS in information science, information design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent advanced industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in testing within software development, web development, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in an accessibility-related field
• Comprehensive understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines and other relevant accessibility standards
• Advanced expertise in a wide range of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software such as JAWS®, NVDA, Voiceover, and automated testing tools
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar tools for advanced bug logging and tracking
• Demonstrated success in facilitating testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute complex test plans and scripts
• Strong influencing skills to shape and define innovative processes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills capable of engaging with executive-level stakeholders
• Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations and make strategic decisions
• High adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
