Schedule: 40 Hours, Days, 8am-5pm, Full Time, Benefit Eligible, Non-Union

Position Summary:

• Ensures the training, orientation, and competency of all pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
• Assists the Director with quality reporting of automated dispensing machines.
• Assists the Director in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians.
• Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, prepares all medications, all I.V. additives, sterile irrigations, and other products, following established procedures
• Assists in the maintenance of Pyxis machines.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Pharmacy Technician experience of 5 years in a hospital; automated dispensing machine experience
• Ability to supervise and manage pharmacy technicians and senior pharmacy technicians. Ability to train others.
• Certification/Licensure: Current PTCB certification
• Software/Hardware: Pyxis, Meditech
