Position: Materials Industrial Engineer

Location: Wentzville, MO

Duration: On-going contract with opportunity for direct hire

Compensation: $45-$50/hr+

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related experience
• 3-5+ years of experience working within an automotive manufacturing environment
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD and creating plant floor layouts for large facilities
• Experience conducting time and motion studies
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and material flow principles/material handling
• Proven ability to support and coordinate with plant Industrial Engineering teams

Plusses:

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Experience with GMOS and/or time and motion studies related to material flow optimization
• Familiarity with automation principles and technologies
• Previous exposure to large-scale material optimization projects
• Strong project management skills

The Materials Industrial Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the manufacturing team to optimize our production processes, ensure product quality, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have experience within the automotive industry, experience with industrial engineering, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt quickly to changing conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Optimization team in developing business cases for material optimization projects
• Study and validate material routes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Review time savings for automation projects and ensure alignment with project goals
• Work closely with the planning team to integrate material optimization strategies into overall production plans
• Collaborate with plant Industrial Engineering teams to gather insights and ensure effective implementation of optimization initiatives
• Support execution teams by providing industrial engineering expertise and addressing challenges during project implementation
• Contribute to the overall strategy for material optimization across all plants
