As a Manager, Carrier Sales, you will lead an operations team. You will be responsible for leading a team of experienced operations professionals. You will partner with customers for points of escalation and serve as a strategic leader within our operations division. DEPARTMENT: Operations LOCATION: Chicago

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

Manage a team of carrier sales reps with varying experience levels to develop relationships with existing and prospective carriers. Become an expert on Loadsmart’s business model, competitive advantages, and technology stack. Lead, coach, and mentor carrier sales representatives to meet company expectations and individual goals. Enhance your team’s market knowledge and assist with pricing and rate negotiations as needed. Collaborate with management and leadership to ensure sales team performance. Bring energy, intensity, and a proactive attitude to the sales floor. Develop and optimize team processes by translating strategic ideas into actionable items with clear timelines. Conduct performance reviews to support individual success and goal achievement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:

5+ years of experience in truckload brokerage. 1+ year of management experience (preferred). Deep knowledge of truckload carrier operations, practices, and market dynamics. Strong understanding of TMS software and relationships with carriers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Dynamic leadership with a charismatic presence and bold attitude. COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $100,000 annually
