We are currently seeking a Landscape Architecture & Planning Student Intern to join our team in Houston for summer 2025. During this internship, you will work with a project team to assist overall efforts of completing various project phases. Learn more about being an intern with HOK Texas in this video. Responsibilities Works on a full range of assignments in supporting the delivery of all project phases and construction administration Works to gain experience in the comprehensive preparation of master plan reports, construction documentation, and the construction process. Displays ability to grasp design concepts and express them graphically. Builds models for client/project team review. Compiles data and performs elementary design computations. Performs benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects and images. Assures HOK document standards are met and archives documents appropriately. Actively promotes collaborative and innovative culture. Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service. Required Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, GIS, Ecotect, and InDesign graphic software preferred. Proficiency in Revit preferred. Basic knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to work in team environment. Ability to effectively meet deadlines. Qualifications Currently a 3rd, 4th, or 5th year student enrolled in a landscape architecture, architecture, or urban design program. Previous internship with an architectural or interior design firm preferred Applications must include a resume and portfolio.
