About the internship in property management:

The intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the business.
  • Assist in creating signage, circulars, mockups, email campaigns, online promotion, etc.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of training materials
  • Assist with the development, execution, and monitoring of ongoing projects
  • Conduct research and analysis to support team initiatives
  • Support administrative tasks, including scheduling, document preparation, and data entry
  • Collaborate with different departments to learn about various aspects of the industry
  • Attend meetings and participate in brainstorming sessions
  • Assist with creating presentations, reports, and other project materials
  • Contribute to team efforts in problem-solving and process improvement
  • Work with the on-site team to gain insight into the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities for each position at the site level, including leasing, maintenance, financials, marketing, resident life cycle, and property events
  • Familiarize yourself with corporate business applications and techniques by following required internal training programs
  • Observe and participate in property operation meetings and shadow visits with senior team members such as the operations vice president, regional manager, and property owners
  • Work on special projects to build relationships and partnerships with other Avenue5 teams to achieve objectives
  • Use property management platforms contributing to day-to-day property operations
  • Create documentation describing processes procedures, programs, and experience
  • Research and develop an evaluation of a conceptual idea for the good of the property
  • Participate in all intern program events such as orientation, live talks with subject-matter experts, training and workshops, and all intern activities
  • Complete an analysis for other properties in the area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education and experience:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, preferably in real estate
Skills and Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of (relevant software tools)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and proactive task approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Prior internship or work experience is a plus but not required
  • Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses, if assigned
