Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction:

  • Greet customers as they enter the store, offering assistance with a warm, welcoming persona.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for purchasing a hot tub or related products.
  • Provide expert advice on hot tub features, benefits, installation, maintenance, technical information, and costs.
  • Answer any customer inquiries about product availability, warranties, and delivery options.
  • Help customers select products that best meet their needs and lifestyles.

2. Sales:

  • Actively promote and sell hot tubs, accessories, and water care products.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals.
  • Process customer transactions, including payments and paperwork for orders.
  • Follow up on sales leads and close sales.

3. Product Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about the latest hot tub models, features, and innovations in the industry.
  • Learn about water treatment systems, filters, covers, steps, and other accessories.
  • Demonstrate product features to customers and provide detailed information on how each product works.
  • Learn water care chemistry and use it to provide excellent customer care.

4. Inventory Management:

  • Assist with inventory control, including stock tracking and ordering new products when necessary.
  • Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing, ensuring that products are properly displayed.

5. Customer Service:

  • Provide after-sales support, including answering customer questions about product usage or maintenance.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally, offering solutions or referrals to management when necessary.
  • Schedule service or maintenance appointments for customers when required.

6. Marketing and Promotion:

  • Assist in promoting sales events, special offers, and promotions.
  • Participate in store events and community outreach to drive sales.
  • Participate in offsite events and in-home consultations.

7. Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate sales records, customer files, and transaction history.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports for management.
  • Will need to assist with calls and matters that are not related to hot tubs. We are a small company, and sometimes help is needed outside your specific job duties.
  • Willingness to chip in and complete miscellaneous tasks, as your team members do, such as tidying up or restocking shelves with products.

Qualifications:

  • Prior retail or sales experience is preferred, especially in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for outdoor living and home improvement products is a plus!
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy products (up to 50 lbs) and assist with showroom setups.
  • Self-starting and self-motivating nature, dependability, and excellent follow-through skills.
  • Solid writing skills for composing customer emails, intra-company documents, and communication.
  • Ability and willingness to work most weekends
  • Genuine interest in and aptitude for learning about water care chemistry.
