Job Description

Position Summary

As a Fleet Manager, your role is to Oversee the maintenance, mechanical repairs, and overall efficiency of the company's fleet of vehicles. You will be at the forefront in managing all maintenance personnel for a smooth and efficient operation. Your leadership will cultivate a work environment that fosters driver success and satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the overall success of Waterfront Logistics.

Job Responsibilities

· Fleet Oversight: Oversee the maintenance, mechanical repairs, and overall efficiency of the company’s fleet of vehicles.

· Safety Compliance: Ensure the safe operation of all fleet vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.

· Maintenance Record Management: Ensure all maintenance record data is kept up to date.

· Parts and Inventory Control: Control the acquisition and inventory of parts, supplies, equipment, tools, hardware, and software.

· Continuous Maintenance Program: Manage a continuous maintenance program for fleet vehicles.

· Emergency Supplies Management: Order urgent or emergency parts and supplies as needed.

· Safety Enforcement: Enforce and supervise the safety of transportation personnel.

· Roadside Assistance Preparation: Keep the roadside assistance vehicle ready to be deployed at any time as needed.

· Operational Support: Provide support for overall operations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Must have technical competence with light/medium/Heavy duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years fleet/vehicle maintenance supervision experience.
  • ASE Certified for truck/transit preferred.
  • Diesel experience required.
  • Leadership Skills:  Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Problem-Solving:  Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous learning.
  • Adaptability:  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unpredictable situations.
  • Experience:  Preferred experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Communication Skills:  Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Technical Proficiency:  Tech-savvy, including proficiency in Excel with knowledge of pivot tables and graphs.

Essential Job Functions

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

· Travel as required.

· Work cooperatively with others.

· Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.

· Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports

· Review and analyze data and information concerning

· Plan, prioritize and monitor activities.

· Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.

· Comply with all Company policies and procedures

In addition to the duties listed above, employees are required to: adhere to Waterfront policies and procedures; work in a safe manner; perform duties as workload necessitates; maintain a positive and cooperative attitude; communicate regularly with your supervisor about work issues; demonstrate efficient time management; demonstrate regular and reliable attendance and punctuality; meet applicable productivity standards; and complete other duties as assigned by Waterfront from time to time.

Pay: $110,000 - $125,000 - Salary
