Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business equivalent is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Finance Analyst in our Rotational Development Program. The training program will allow a candidate to rotate through three separate roles in Internal Audit, Enterprise Finance and Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis. All three roles are great career builders in determining your path in Corporate Finance at General Dynamics Mission Systems. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services.

Representative Duties and Tasks:

• Prepares, analyzes and evaluates financial information associated with program or department forecasts and cost pools for budget, forecast, pricing, planning, invoicing and control
• Monitors actual costs of programs or departments and compares to budgeted costs to identify and understand variances
• Interprets data to determine present and future financial performance
• Performs month end close activities for assigned programs or departments
• Performs studies and summarizes recommendations related to investment/business opportunities, future trends and impact of governmental requirements/financial regulations
• Examines and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
• An entry-level position in a field of specialization 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Developing knowledge of internal Audit, General Ledger Accounting, Rates and Compliance, and Cost Proposal functions
• Clear understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Solid computer skills including MSExcel, MSWord, and MSPowerPoint
• Developing analytical skills including ability to analyze data and reconcile financial accounts
• Clear understanding of Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulation, General Dynamics Systems and policies, Government Accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Earned Value Management System

USD $63,241.00 - USD $68,428.75 /Yr.
