Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant with hands-on NetSuite ERP experience to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting functions including inventory valuation, cost analysis, variance reporting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or product-based environments and be comfortable navigating complex data within NetSuite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and analyze standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead components.
• Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile inventory accounts monthly.
• Perform variance analysis on purchase price, production costs, and inventory adjustments.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and support decision-making.
• Conduct month-end close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Prepare detailed cost reports, margin analysis, and profitability insights.
• Support external audits with cost-related schedules and documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline cost tracking and reporting.
• Utilize NetSuite ERP for financial reporting, inventory management, and cost accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP standards.
