The Clinical Education Specialist for ENT/Plastics is responsible for the development and management of education programs that enhance clinical staff capabilities and ensure superior patient care. This role involves analyzing educational needs, creating cost-effective curricula, and collaborating with leadership to meet regulatory and patient care standards. The position demands a Master's Degree and significant experience in clinical education within a surgical environment.
Additional Information About the RoleThe ENT/plastic reconstructive division at BJH, a 19-bed surgical unit, is consistently ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. This unit allows nurses the opportunity to gain experience caring for a wide variety of patients while also specializing in free flap reconstruction, surgical airways, and extremity replantation. Nurses use their assessment skills to care for post-surgical patients and are heavily involved in patient teaching. Staff on this division cared for the first patient in the country to have restored speech through the use of an artificial larynx.

Trach and/or head & neck surgery experience is ideal

Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of education and practice programs for clinical staff that promote the provision of a superior patient experience for patients and their families. Coordinates and manages house wide educational programs and resources that support clinical educators and leaders at the unit/department level.
