Job Title Senior Business Analyst

Education & Certification Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field acceptable to SaskTel from a recognized institution.
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification, with a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience.
- Any additional applicable certification(s) not listed above but are significant to the Senior Business Analyst role.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Senior Business Analyst role. (Note: Relevant experience within the last seven (7) years).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to elicit and interpret business and technical information into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to deal effectively with (a) others, (b) ambiguity, (c) conflict resolution, and (d) diplomacy.
- Proven ability to assist the business in clearly articulating and defining the scope of a project.
- Expert at facilitating stakeholder sessions and client interviews; and presenting materials to all levels of the organization to gain alignment of project outcomes.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while managing project and client expectations.
- Minimum of three (3) years of North American telecom experience preferred (Wireline, Wireless, Converged). (Note: Relevant experience within the last seven (7) years).

CATEGORY:
Responsibilities:
Will include, but not be limited to:
- Facilitate the elicitation, analysis, validation of business, functional and/or non-functional requirements and document into requirements document.
- Critically evaluate information gathered to determine the true needs of the business to produce high and detailed level requirements.
- Align team to corporate best practices, standards, templates, and implement business simplification, where applicable.
- Perform task and workflow analysis to model current and future state of business systems and business processes.
- Perform traceability between solution designs and requirements.
- Liaison between Business Stakeholders; the technical solution providers; development, testing and support teams.
- Assist in creation of change requests with supporting analysis and alternatives.
- Ensure the correct interpretation of requirements with the development and test teams via design inspections, test scenarios, and data.
- Perform general project consulting throughout the SDLC (pre and post business case).
- Maintain skills and stay current with IT and/or Industry Trends.
- Ensure all project documentation and knowledge transfer to SaskTel employees is completed prior to the end of the contract term.
