Job Summary: As the General Sales Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales department, including hiring, training, and performance management of the sales staff. You will ensure the dealership meets or exceeds sales targets, optimizes inventory management, and delivers outstanding customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, strategic sales planning, and a passion for developing a high-performing sales team. Key Responsibilities: Recruit, train, and mentor a successful sales team while fostering a positive and high-energy work culture. Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize new and used vehicle sales. Set aggressive yet achievable sales goals and monitor team performance. Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal vehicle turnover and lot organization. Collaborate with marketing to align advertising strategies with dealership objectives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and dealership regulations related to vehicle sales. Monitor sales reports, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to drive business growth. Provide hands-on coaching and assistance with deal structuring to maximize closing rates. Lead regular sales meetings and ensure adherence to dealership policies and procedures.
