DZL is a market leader in real estate development and property management, featuring a high-profile mixed-use portfolio of office, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and co-working properties. The neighborhood sits in Nashville’s downtown urban core, inside the SoBro and Gulch neighborhoods. The campus spans 16 contiguous acres, with numerous core infill sites ready for development, anchored by iconic adaptive reuse properties, cornerstones of the city.

We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with all aspects of the AP operations for multiple entities. This person must have solid accounting, communication, and organizational skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

1. Perform all aspects of the AP Process such as
   • Managing accounts payable using accounting software (such as Yardi and QuickBooks)
   • Handling accounts payable for multiple separate entities and vendors
   • Ensure all invoices are properly coded and approved according to company policies
   • Processing due invoices for payments and ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
   • Comparing purchase orders, contracts, pricing, terms of payment and other charges
   • Performing accounting duties such as account maintenance and recording general ledger/journal entries 
   • Responding to all vendor enquiries
2. Perform credit card and bank account reconciliation
3. Manage bank transactions, including transfers
4. Provide ageing reports to senior leadership with recommendations for payments
5. Maintain and ensure accuracy of all files
6. File and pay monthly sales tax
7. Maintain reconciled construction job costing books
8. Assist with some AR tasks, including but not limited to reconciling the AR ledger, generating invoices, resolving billing issues and reporting
9. Assist team with administrative project tasks
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2-years’ experience with AP and/or Accounting
• Experience with Yardi and  QuickBooks highly preferred
• Experience in Construction, Commercial Real Estate or Real Estate Development is a plus
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be accustomed to a fast-paced environment 
• Must work as a team player

Compensation details: 52000-58000 Yearly Salary
